Reset KYC
Overview
The Reset KYC feature allows you to reset a customer's existing KYC information and reinitiate the verification process.
While all KYC-verified users are eligible for Payout services, access to Payin services is restricted to users whose identity has been verified via AADHAAR as the document_type. To enable Payins for such users, their KYC must be reset and re-performed with Aadhaar as the primary identity document.
When to Use
- Customer now wants to use Payin services, which require Aadhaar-based verification.
- Client wants to allow re-verification without deleting the user’s profile.
- Customer wants to re-submit their KYC from scratch.
How it Works
- Use the Reset KYC endpoint to initiate the KYC reset process.
- Once reset, the customer must go through the KYC flow again.
- After successful Aadhaar-based verification, the customer becomes eligible for Payin services as well.
Notes
- Resetting KYC marks the customer as UNVERIFIED, restricting their Payout capability as well till they re-complete their KYC.
- KYC reset is irreversible and should be initiated only when absolutely required.
