> Payin initiate takes transaction_reference_id; bank_id is optional on payin quotations.

## Payin reference field

* [Create Payin](/api-reference-exchange/endpoint/payin/order/initiate) takes the bank reference as `transaction_reference_id` instead of `utr`. It is required for INR (12 or 16 characters) and optional for other fiats.
* Payin responses return `transaction_reference_id`.
* `bank_id` is optional on [payin quotations](/api-reference-exchange/endpoint/payin/quotation/quotation).
